Contouring

Facial contouring aims to reshape the face to improve its appearance.
It can involve changing the soft tissues or bony structure of the face.

What kind of procedures are available for facial contouring?

01

“Double jaw surgery” (Orthognathic Surgery)

to change the position of the upper and lower jaws. Patients who may be interested in orthognathic surgery usually present with jaw issues like malocclusion (problems with their “bite”), asymmetrical or unattractive smile due to jaw mal-alignment. This surgery is usually planned together with an orthodontist who will address your teeth alignment.

02

“Jaw shaving”

Some patients have disproportionately wide jaws and may consider shaving the angles of the jaws to narrow and stream-line their face.

03

Facial implants

to improve cheek-bone or chin projection.

04

Botox to the masseter muscles

Some people naturally have thickened masseter muscles (chewing muscle attached to the lower jaw bone) or the muscles becomes thicker due to habitual “grinding”. Botox can relax these muscles effecting a more “V-shaped” slimmer face.

05

Facial skin tightening via surgical

(Face lift, mid-cheek lift, temporal and/or brow lifting) and non-surgical methods (Inmode FACEtite, Sciton HEROic Skintyte®)
