A plastic surgeon who enjoys cleft mission trips, Dr Pearlie is deeply committed to using her specialized skills to make a meaningful impact on underserved communities.
Inspired by her experience as a young medical student on an elective to India, when she saw how life-changing cleft lip and palate surgeries are for children and their families, she continued volunteering for cleft mission trips throughout her Residency and after she qualified as a Plastic Surgeon. She has been to India, Cambodia and China for cleft mission trips, and finds immense joy helping children smile again. The most fulfillment she gets, is being able to transform lives through her work, not only by improving physical appearance but also by restoring function and confidence.
